I bought this clock back around 2004 and it still works great. I dropped it once recently and cracked the window a little, but it still works. I use it to help me remember appointments and schedules. It is a great help. The battery lasts a long time. I was able to take it to other parts of the world with me. I am sorry for those whose clocks did not work. I would have sent them back. The clock was worth it for my needs.

I have had mine for three years and use it daily, really. I feel it was worth the money. It does take some practice to program. Use a high powered camera AAA battery as a power source to keep time and use the vibrating function frequently. I have dropped mine many times and it's still ticking. I will not be without it. I use it for work and exercise. I have taken it apart once to clean the contacts behind the buttons.

I like this timer. Some people claim it's difficult to program but I disagree. It's a timer - not a PDA and it is no more awkward than any digital watch.

Apart from that I use it for three things for which is it is well suited.

1) My 3 year old still needs to have Daddy stay with him when he goes to sleep at night. The problem is I fall asleep, sometimes for over 2 hours, while I wait for him to settle down. This timer is excellent in that I set it for 8:30 PM everyday, and set it to vibrate only. It's small and clips anywhere on my shirt and the little one does not see it and when it goes off it wakes me and not him.

2) I often give presentations at work and the meeting timer is good in that if I want to do a 30 minute presentation I enter it and it vibrates at 15 minutes, and then 25 minutes and finally at 30 mins. I know how much time I've taken and I always finish on time.

3) I brew beer as a hobby. Often you need to boil the wort for some time. and then add hops at different times during the boil. The custom timer is awesome for this. Admittedly this function does take a lot of patience with the instructions, but frankly once you get it down it's not too difficult. My only quibble is that I wished it went longer than just 60 mins.

This product has every timer you need and is small and discrete. That is where the good ends. It is difficult to program and use. With only 4 buttons and a small screen you must scroll through various timers to get the one you want then you scroll through each part of the time to set. Once the time runs out it resets to zero.

I bought it for my wife when she was performing and it was to complicated for her to learn and I had to read the instructions whenever I programed it. Oh yes, the instructions are just as complicated as the clock.

Unless you need lots of variety in your timer I would not buy this one.

This product would have been perfect for my needs, except it does not work. The first time I used it, it lost power quickly. The second time, it would not even turn on. I would have returned it, but I had forgotten to keep the original packaging.
